Animal profile

Watch out, here comes the charming Charlot! Only 5 years old, Charlot is a shy little boy with a tender heart. At the shelter, he’s nervous, but he quickly bonds with our staff and becomes a real ball of love looking for cuddles. Since Charlot is not yet neutered, he has some marking problems which should be greatly reduced following his operation. In terms of health, you’ll need to make sure he doesn’t have any discomfort when walking, as his kneecaps (knees) can dislocate. This is not uncommon in small breeds, and things can be done to ensure his comfort.

Charlot could live with children aged 12 and over or younger if they are calm, gentle and respectful. Our little guy has already lived with cats, but he loves chasing small animals outside. Shih Tzu dogs like Charlot need regular grooming to maintain good hygiene and general well-being.

We recommend consulting a behavioral professional for his fear of strangers, recall and marking.

Let’s bet that a little marvel like Charlot won’t be up for adoption for long!
