Animal profile
Chico is a 2-year-old collie weighing 32.3 kg looking for a loving home. Chico has had several families and is now ready to find HIS forever home. The shelter environment is stressful for Chico, so we have to respect his rhythm. However, when he puts his trust in us, he’s a good companion, calm and collected, perfect for a quiet life. However, he does have one small habit: when he’s free, he likes to explore and wander off! That’s why it’s essential to keep him safe at all times, with a sturdy harness and lanyard when out and about.
Chico is a very sociable dog with humans, both large and small. He has never shown any reactive behavior towards them, but it’s best to give him his space, especially during mealtimes.
Although he generally gets on well with other dogs, Chico has a bit of trouble sharing his food. It would therefore be preferable for him to be the only dog in the house. On the other hand, he has a good history with cats, as long as they respect his bubble during meals. Chico has a predatory instinct, so be careful on walks, especially if he comes across small animals.
Chico could adapt to life in an apartment, provided he gets enough daily exercise. Beware, he can be vocal at times!
A meeting with the behaviorist will take place during the adoption process if the family includes children.
If you’re ready to welcome a loving dog like Chico, who deserves a second chance, contact us! Together, you’ll build a beautiful relationship based on respect and love.
