Monique is a 7-year-old cat with a strong personality… and an opinion on everything! She loves to have her say in the household and never misses an opportunity to make her voice (or her insistent gaze) heard.

Behind her grumpy little demeanor—which, let’s be honest, we find rather endearing—hides a great lover of attention… in her own way . Brushing her magnificent fur? She loves it. Cuddles? Gladly, as long as they don’t go near her backside. Madame has her limits, and she makes them clear—sometimes with a delicate nudge of her teeth, just enough to remind everyone of the rules of the contract.

When she wants attention, she wants it now , and she’ll let you know straight away! Luckily, Monique communicates like a pro: her body language is crystal clear, as are her intentions. You just need to know how to read her expressive little theater to live in perfect harmony with her.

A lover of warmth and comfort, she adores basking in the sun’s rays or cuddling up to a heat source. She dreams of a quiet home, with respectful, attentive humans capable of appreciating her presence as a great feline lady .

Monique is currently in foster care. We start by organizing a virtual meeting with the host family to introduce you to the animal and answer your questions. Then, if the interest is mutual, we bring the animal back to the shelter to finalize the adoption in person.

Monique unfortunately tested positive for FIV and FeLV . That’s why she’s part of the My Lucky Star ★ program, which offers adoption fees in the amount of your choice.
