Who are we
Since 2012, Proanima places animal welfare and the highest level of service at the heart of all actions and decisions. Our non-profit organization provides preventive animal management for their partnered municipalities, and their residents, offering advice, help and resources to limit the abandonment of animals. In this sense, Proanima offers services in prevention, awareness, education, identification, sterilization and safe supervision of dogs. And it welcomes, cares for and temporarily houses stray or abandoned pets and then finds them a new home.

Our history
Founded and opened by Geneviève Desroches, engineer, Proanima Ambassador and President of the Board of Directors since the start. Proanima is a non-profit organization (NPO) having opened their doors in 2012 in response to the desperate need of ethical and responsible animal management.
