Animal profile
Allow me to introduce Wesley, an exceptional 3-year-old cat in search of a loving home where he can thrive.
Wesley has experienced abrupt changes in his life, transitioning from a quiet home with a single elderly person to a more bustling environment at the shelter. These disruptions have left him somewhat disoriented, expressing his stress by hissing and seeking refuge by freezing upon contact. However, with a gentle and patient approach, Wesley is starting to reassure himself and reveal his true character.
It’s important to respect Wesley’s pace and offer him breaks when needed. A calm and gentle environment would be ideal for him, as he can be overwhelmed by too much noise or activity. Although he’s not aggressive, children and their sometimes clumsy approach might make him uncomfortable. He prefers the company of someone he can bond with, but he adapts well in the presence of visitors, even young children.
In his foster home, Wesley is already showing his affectionate and endearing side. He responds to his name and eagerly cuddles up to his humans as soon as he’s approached. He truly is a “velcro cat,” enjoying being petted and rolling over on his back as soon as he receives attention.
The family fortunate enough to welcome Wesley will be blessed by his loving and endearing presence. With a little time and lots of love, Wesley is sure to become a faithful and affectionate companion for life.
